Meet The Physique Academy Team
I started weight training at 14 years old after being advised by 4 premier league football academies, that I wasn’t strong or tall enough. This mentally knocked my confidence at a young age and made me more determined to become stronger and build my physique.
My love for nutrition and training became my focus. For the next few years I lived and breathed building my physique to the best possible shape I could achieve. I started competing at 17 years old and won the Mr United Kingdom under 18s in my first bodybuilding show in 2013. After which I went on to win 9 shows in just 2 years of competing.
However, competing in so many shows in such a short period of time combined with strict dieting caused fatigue. I then pushed my body too far with weight training, severely straining both my biceps and developed tendonitis “golfers’ elbow”. As a consequence I wasn’t able to weight train for 16 months, resulting in losing all the progress I made over the four years of training.
This period in my life really challenged me and made me re-think the way I approached fitness and nutrition. Taking a step back from competing I put all my focus and energy into helping others reach their goals. I wanted to become the best personal trainer and coach I could be. I started coaching clients at the age of 18 and quickly became established helping hundreds of clients at all levels of fitness. It became my passion.
Over the years the brand Physique Academy was built because I wanted to connect to the masses, that’s why I took Personal Training online to make a bigger impact and build a community of inspiring individuals who want to reach their full potential.
Meet Harry Armstrong

Fitness has been a part of my life from a very young age. Starting out at the local football club from 5 years old and progressing up to academy level, football was always the number one passion for me until I entered the world of fitness. Training and nutrition have been a part of my family for generations, with my grandad owning a martial arts and weight lift gym and competing in numerous competitions across the country. This was engraved within me from an early age, seeing how strong he and my Dad were, was something I looked up to.
My real introduction to weight training was when my Dad bought us a gym set to use and train out of the garage at the age of 15 years old. My brother George and I shortly outgrew the weights and needed to join the local leisure centre. Instantly I feel in love with it. This then lead me down the path of joining a local bodybuilding gym where the owner took me under his wing and encouraged me to competing in my first bodybuilding season at the age of 18. I competed over 5 years with 3 competitive seasons with my biggest achievement being the Welsh regional BNBF show where I took home 1st place.
Since competing I have continued to train just as hard, growing both physically and mentally, however have recently started to include more endurance-based training methods and have the goal of completing the famous Iron Man triathlon. This has given me a whole new dynamic to my training and nutrition to balance both my weight training/endurance disciplines. This style of training is a whole new ball game when it comes to mindset and dedication – FITTER, FASTER, STRONGER.
My constant desire to push myself to the limit in everything I do is something that I try to push to my clients. Joining the Physique Academy team has allowed me to fulfil my passion for health and fitness whilst being able to help people all over the world achieve their goals. Understanding that health and fitness doesn’t just help you physically but also mentally is also one of my driving factors. Seeing clients with mental health issues gain confidence and control through proper training and nutrition pushes me to go that extra mile for my clients.

I’ve spent the best part of 13 years dedicating my life to health and fitness, a journey which started when I was 17 years old, after stepping foot into the gym for the very first time.
I had always been into sports from a young age after starting football at 6 years old, I played all the way through until my early twenties. Sport has always been a big part of my life from playing in teams through childhood, going through school and eventually into adulthood in different sports. My biggest passion was always football and football was the reason I decided to start hitting the gym.
My sole purpose for training when I started out was to help improve my football performance – I was always the smallest in the team, so I turned to weight training to add some muscle, strength and size to my physique as well as adding cardio sessions in to vastly improve my fitness to enhance my football game further.
It only took me a few months of solid training to start seeing the results I had intended to achieve, this quickly escalated into the gym becoming my new obsession. I loved training and I loved seeing my body transform through the process.
At 16 years old, going through college, I always knew I wanted to get in to coaching, back then I had dreamed of coaching football in America. At 20 years old, I quit my job and followed my passion and my dreams and my journey in to being a coach started. I headed to Texas, USA at 22 years old and embarked on a 2-year career coaching people of all ages and backgrounds the world of football.
I always trained in the gym whilst being a football coach because I had made fitness a big part of my identity. I loved the way it made me look and feel and it became much than just a ‘evening training session’ it started to become a way of life and a place I used to not only push myself to be better but also a place to help switch off and escape on those tough days.
After returning to the UK at 24 I continued to follow my passion for coaching and my love of fitness and decided I wanted to become a Personal Trainer and do this ‘fitness thing’ professionally. This was hands down the best decision I ever made. I gained 3 years gym floor experience and built a success one to one personal training business before I decided to embark on a new challenge and move abroad to work and live.
I am now in my seventh year of being a fitness coach and recently returned to the UK after living in Bali for the previous 3 years where I worked as a PT, a group fitness coach, a gym manager and also coaching people online again building my experience with people of all walks of life and backgrounds.
I have now been coaching professionally for ten years and have helped change the lives of thousands of people in the process. I have lived an extremely active lifestyle that has taken me across the world to fulfill my dreams and experience living, working and being emersed in all cultures.
Helping others is my highest value and my biggest passion, I am driven by seeing other people change their lives for the better, push themselves further and successfully hit their personal goals.
Meet Neil Chauhan

I’ve spent the last 8 years learning and growing my knowledge towards health, fitness and nutrition. When I was younger, I was very low on confidence and was at an unhealthy bodyweight for my age, carrying lots of body fat.
Once I found the love for activity, sports and a gym environment lifting weights, there was no going back. The body fat came off me easily and I’ve never looked back. Since this has happened I’ve learned over time strength training is the best cure for everything in life, which is why I do it every week. The aim is to always learn more and become better every day. Since doing this I’ve wanted to help as many people do the same… to ensure they can become a better version of themselves physically and mentally just like I did.
I’ve spent the last 5 years walking the gym floor and coaching people, passing on my knowledge to clients who need 1-2-1 Personal Training along with Nutrition help and accountability. I’ve worked with plenty of people with all different backgrounds, goals, and habits. This is my passion and love.. helping people become something they thought that wasn’t possible.
Meet Jamie Gorse

I have always had an interest in sports as I grew up in a sporting background, I would take part in every sport I thought was possible with football being my main ambition after playing since the age of 6. Bodybuilding didn’t occur to me until I was 16 years old as was told I needed to be more physical if I wanted to improve my game. The gym seemed the most logical place to start and I began training with minimal knowledge in a hope to gain some size.
I quickly realised that this was something I was obsessed with and I wanted to take it to the next level. In order to gain better results physically, I needed to improve my knowledge around the subject, and after 2 years of training, I began my personal training course, while also training for my first bodybuilding show.
I placed top 3 in my show and was invited to the British finals, while also gaining my personal training qualifications. Throughout this process, I quickly realised that you need that elite mentality just as much as knowledge and physical strength if you want to succeed in accomplishing your goals.
Working with Physique Academy has given me the chance to work in an environment where I can apply all my experiences, mistakes and passion over the past 8 years, into helping people achieve their own personal goals that goes so much further than just fitness.
