What Does Fitness mean to you?
My health and fitness are my life! From playing football at a young age to moving into Tennis, playing at club level.
When did you start your fitness journey?
My health and fitness are my life! From the age of 16 in my parents garage my dad showed me my first full body routine and the love for weight training was born.
How has fitness helped you in other areas of your life?
After completing a Physique Academy transformation myself back in Spring 2022, I set up my own coaching business and began to start changing the lives of many men who were looking to level up.
Being a Dad of 2 young girls, being in shape and fit all year round really affects Family life on a day-to-day basis allowing me to be the best Father i can be and allowing me to have more energy for my Family.
What do you bring to the Physique Academy?
As mentioned above, after 2 1⁄2 years of running my own online coaching business along with a full-time job, I have experience in managing a busy schedule whilst ensuring clients get the best results possible!
Training knowledge, work rate, my best possible physique and a passion for fitness.
What are your THREE biggest strengths when it comes to being a coach?
- Knowledge and experience of the program as an ex-client.
- Results driven - Nearly every client I have worked with has achieved the goal they set out to achieve.
- Approachable and Motivational - When clients fall off plan or have a bad week I like to think I'm always able to lift their spirits, find a positive in the week and get them back on track.
Why should people join the Physique Academy?
Again, as an ex-client and now a PA coach, I know first-hand that it is the best program in the world! There is no other coaching company in the world like it that offers the same amount of support, knowledge, education, guidance and results.
What advice would you give to people starting their fitness journey?
Rome wasn’t built in a day! Very cliche but also very true. Make small and subtle changes to begin with, monitor and measure progress along the way and make sure you are accountable to somebody!
What is the best thing about being a part of the Physique Academy?
Transformations - Being able to transform the lives of so many men around the world. Not just physically but also mentally.
Lifestyle - Being able to have more spare time to use towards helping clients, educating yourself and having more freedom.
The Team - Also looking forward to meeting and working with all of the PA team members and getting stuck in!
What is your favourite style of training?
Traditional bodybuilding training. Working on near perfect form with a slow tempo and plenty of volume. Aesthetics are the most important to me Cardio - Running. A near sub 20 5k (20:26) is the current PB and I'm always working towards reaching that goal. Regularly running 5-10ks and keeping fit!
Why is routine and discipline important to you?
Waking up to train at 5:30am 5x per week, routine and discipline is paramount to my lifestyle. As a coach, we are role models, and it is of the utmost importance that we show clients that we not only talk the talk but also walk the walk. You can’t expect a client to do something that you are not willing to do!
Have you ever had a setback in training and how did you overcome this?
After having to stop playing football in my mid-twenties because of lower back pain I converted to tennis in hope I could still manage to play a competitive sport. 3 years passed and my back slowly got worse leading to the inevitable moment of me quitting because of constant back pain during and after matches.
In April 2021 I had an MRI scan, and it showed an L4 slipped disc and L3 partial slip/bulge. I used this as an opportunity to focus on gym exercises that wouldn’t inflame or cause any pain to my lower back and educate me around lower back pain problems. To this day I am still able to run, lift and perform all daily activities!
