About Nicola

Nicola is a highly experienced UK based Integrative Counsellor*, Advanced Clinical Hypnotherapist and Life Coach. Teacher of Meditation and Mindfulness.

With a successful private practice of 15 years, Nicola has worked with clients from all walks of life, from all over the world, facing life challenges that quite often cause individuals to live a limited life. She is experienced in working with people who suffer from low self esteem, loss and grief, relationship & marriage difficulties, anxiety and depression, trauma & PTSD, bullying, addiction and work related stress.

Nicola was delighted to be approached to work with Physique Academy and the Armstrong Foundation valuing the importance of accessible mental health support in a timely manner while working towards “normalising” men talking about their mental health. She has been working with Coaches and Clients, helping them to overcome specific challenges which quite often disrupt progress on their transformation journey. Clients can access 5 free “Let’s Talk” sessions where Nicola will work with the you to understand your challenges.

Using various therapeutic modalities Nicola helps you to find a comfortable and easier way of moving through whatever life challenges you may be facing, by creating a confidential, safe, non-judgemental and nurturing space. She encourages clients to work together with her, to understand themselves and their emotions, by exploring and addressing the problematic areas which cause distress, no matter how big or small. You can also expect to receive “homework” between sessions!

Nicola’s approach is warm and encouraging, but also practical and down to earth. She loves to see people grow and develop, and enjoys empowering people to make the best decisions for themselves.
Continuous Professional Development is an important feature in Nicola’s professional life to ensure that she maintains the high level of expertise she employs with her clients.

“Think of your mind as a suggestion box. It’s genuinely trying to help and serve your best interests, but it doesn’t always suggest the best ideas.

We can challenge the self-sabotaging thoughts and the limiting beliefs that you tell yourself - the ones that can disrupt your fitness journey and stop you achieving your goals”

Work with Nicola to make your mind your best buddy, not your bully!

Exercise and nutrition play an important role in Nicola’s life, and she understands the importance of physical activity to improve emotional health and build resilience. When the mind and body work together in harmony great things can be achieved. Nicola enjoys running and cycling on the moors and hills where she lives, and combines that with hard HIIT training together with a balance of Yoga and Mindfulness.

*An integrative therapist is trained in a number of different counselling and psychological theories and draws upon these different approaches to help each client in a way that best suits their needs. The integrative approach assumes that each person is unique and that no single approach to therapy can address the physical, social, emotional and psychological needs of all people. Life experiences are different for everyone and the integrative approach acknowledges these differences.
