4 Years of Dedication
"4 whole years since I decided to turn it all around"
Coach Adam is a true testament to Physique Academy. He joined 4 years ago and has not only gone through and incredible physical transformation, he has improved his career, his mental health, his social circle, his lifestyle and more... This is his story.
Looking back on this last 4 years, there’s been so many ups and downs. So many potential opportunities to use life as an excuse and give up on my journey. I’ve been through it all, people doubting me, people saying I’d gone too far, people saying I looked ill, people slagging me off behind my back, people deceiving me just for trying to work on myself.. it’s been tough.
13/07/2020, the middle of lockdown. The world was upside down but my world was about to change. Day one with George & the Physique Academy team who gave me the belief I could make the change. Without this guy I wouldn’t be who I am today, happy, confident and living a life I’d never of even dreamed of prior to this.
From getting me in the shape of my life to giving me an opportunity to help others do the same and turn their lives around and still continues to provide opportunities to this day, travelling the world and being able to actually enjoy life doing something I love daily and without George I would have definitely given up when the going got tough
The past year has probably been the most difficult out of the 4. Having my excess skin removed which in itself was a massive thing to then having to have an emergency procedure to remove a big blood clot 2 weeks after that which prevented me from getting sepsis.
A massive thank you to my parents as well, for not only letting me take over the kitchen and fridge every single day but for also backing me on this journey and yes mum getting some shopping in and cooking chicken and rice when I needed it.
I have big plans for the next few years, I’m nowhere near done, I will continue to improve day in day out not just physically but mentally as well because my mental health is something that has vastly improved over the last 4 years and I have everyone around me who I need to support me along the way and give me the guidance to be that bit better every single day.
One thing remains, I will never forget ‘who I was’, because without being that person it wouldn’t have given me the opportunity to be ‘who I am’ today.
