We caught up with our latest client of the month to learn more about his journey with Physique Academy.

When did you join the Physique Academy?

Congratulations to our October client of the month winner Alex Adams. Alex has proved that age is just a number as he starts phase 2 of his journey after losing 38lbs. Alex has been working hard with coach Jamie Gorse to achieve new levels of fitness and self-belief in his job, relationships, and confidence. He has truly shown dedication to his program, checking in each and every week, improving in all areas of fitness and wanting to educate himself on the philosophy of Physique Academy. Starting off, Alex identified that consistency is the area he lacked when it came to seeing progress, we targeted this with a routine that would keep training and nutrition exciting that enabled consistency to become second nature. Look where we are now.

When do you join Physique Academy?

November 2021

Why did you join Physique Academy?

I had consistently worked out and run, but with zero direction and no real plan to aim for so after a friend recommended, I thought I would be serious with my training.

What have you achieved since joining the Physique Academy?

I have had nothing Short of a complete overhaul of body and mind. I am running quicker, lifting more even with injuries but more over my outlook on health and life was totally changed. The biggest the thing I have achieved is consistency - and this is being applied to ever area of my life.

 

 

What is your ultimate fitness goal?

As I approach 40 I want to embed a robust plan that keeps me in great nick all year round - and to build consistent lean muscle. I don’t want to be Thor at all - just functional and aesthetic fitness than helps me do more of the things I live for as long as possible.

Would you recommend Physique Academy?

100% couldn’t recommended enough - for anyone that needs to bring a real direction to their lives and fitness goals

What’s gets you motivated?

Jamie has been the driving force of my motivation, he has made clear anything is possible, pushes me way outside the comfort zone which then motivates me to think bigger and better and that improvement is never out of reach.

Is there something fitness related you have improved on since joining?

Losing a big amount of weight has meant that my running times are several minutes quicker - but also being prone to injuries is becoming less of a problem / my sleep and recovery is at levels I’ve never had even in my teens, and my flexibility and general mobility is the amazing

How important is routine for you?

Routine is basically everything - in bed the behaviours and then work everything else in rather than trying to do it the other way round.

What has been you highlight working with the Physique Academy?

Working with Jamie has been key - there has never been a point where he has taken no for answer - the coaches at PA are as much life coaches as they are PTs so be ready to be challenged to the max. Jamie made the diet side super straight forward and made sure that foods I like and enjoy where part of it throughout even when I was in the depths of a cut.

What’s next for you?

Sky is the limit - me and Jamie are working on the reverse diet faze - focusing on the strength and muscle gain. Once we get to where we want to be - it will be about embedding the behaviours that mean I can maintain life long.
