I started my fitness journey when I was 13/14 years old. This began by doing press ups and sit-ups in my room while also playing multiple sports for my school and doing martial arts outside. This ending up with me pursuing my sporting and physical development passion and doing a degree in sport and exercise science as well and a master degree in sport and exercise physiology before working with the general public and in elite progressional sport for over 10 years.
Fitness has helped me massively in life the confidence you get from not only being strong but also being able to love well means that you feel you can face any challenge life throws at you. It could be DIY, it could be a 10k, it could be a parents running race at your kids school, it could be anything. Knowing you have that physical ability to perform is a winning feeling.
To physique academy I bring a range of skills. If you want to make those first steps in starting a fitness journey I can help. If you want to get lean or beach ready then let me know. If you have a sporting challenge or want to increase your athletic performance then lets get started. I’ve worked with countless people and athlete at all different stages of their journey. I’m here to help you reach your goals.
At Physique Academy we’re a team, you’ve not just got the expertise of one coach but all of them. We don’t believe that one way works for everyone so we use a tailored approach that suits each client. We don’t say no to you having social occasions, we educate you on how to fit your diet and training around them while still achieving the goals you set out to achieve.
For people starting the journey I would say this: it’s all about the first step. Getting started is all it takes. It’s said the best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago the second best time is right now, lets get started.
The best thing about being part of physique academy is the team. Everyone supporting one another to ensure we’re getting our clients results and sharing the knowledge of how to do this and inspire more people to do the same.
My favourite style of training would be strength training or Functional Fitness. Nothing beats the feeling of a good heavy deadlift or pushing your limits in an EMOM.
Routine & discipline are key in all walks of like. Allowing you to be productive and the the things you need to get done done! While ensuing you know how you can persue your goals and dreams as the time is there and available to do it. Without that structure you can end up wandering aimlessly without a purpose or a cause and become lost in life.
Having a clear why and daily goals in a routine helps you achieve far more than you would think possible. It cuts down on procrastination and encourages action.
I have had multiple set backs on my fitness journey. Broken bones, ligament injuries, knee ops, back problems. One thing I would say is that these things can just happen. Once it’s accepted you can then do something about it. I realised I can train other body parts, I can do different forms of c.v work. I embraced the challenge of working in a different way. Install had the same goal I just took a detour on the path to get there but I still kept moving forward.
It is a mindset like this I hope I can instill in all my clients! Building their inner belief to push themselves on!
